Marking Black History Month

All of February at the Musée Héritage Museum (St. Albert Place, 5 St. Anne Street, St. Albert)

Many black Albertans have transcended great adversity, making immense contributions to the building of our country, and adding to its rich diversity.

During the month of February, to mark Black History Month, the Musée Héritage Museum will add the stories of some members of St. Albert’s black community to exhibits in the history gallery, as well as provide information and displays in the Discovery Room.

We will also be co-hosting the film We Are the Roots,in partnership with the Shiloh Centre for Multicultural Roots. It will be screened at the St. Albert Public Library on Saturday, February 8th at 1:30 pm. There will be a reception at the museum following the film.
