University of Alberta students spend a day at the museum

University of Alberta Job Shadow Week 2016

Feb 2016 job shadow

Meet Amy and Samantha, two students from the University of Alberta. Each year the Musée Héritage Museum participates in the University of Alberta job shadow week and this year we had two students spend the day with us on February 17.

Upon arrival Amy and Samantha were tasked with making “ducks”  for the Ducky Dome photo booth that the Museum will set up during Rogers Hometown Hockey weekend in March. Next they met with the Archivist and visited the archives/collection spaces before we headed up to SAGE Park for a tour of the grain elevators and some homemade soup and bannock for lunch.

Once we returned to the museum Amy and Samantha worked together with museum staff setting up a display for the Healing Garden Open House that will take place on Feb 24th, 2016 in St. Albert Place.

It was a busy day!!!  We enjoyed having both of you here for the day!
