The Heritage Sites Community Garden at the historic river lots 23 & 24 in St. Albert has been giving back this harvest season to the St. Albert Food Bank and Community Village.
In the spring, a local Brownie group toured the garden, learned about the importance of pollinators, and planted potatoes for the food bank. They returned in the fall to explore how the garden changed over the season and harvested the potatoes they planted. The community gardeners also planted potatoes, carrots and onions for a total of 200 square feet.
Giving back to the community is important and we are appreciate everyone who helped us out this year.
If you are interesting knowing more about what was accomplished at the community garden this year, or how to participate for next year, please feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 780-459-1528.
