For many years we have gathered along the banks of the Sturgeon River in St. Albert for the International Children’s Festival and I was thinking about all of the things we have learned together over the years. I took a walk along the river and looked for signs of spring.
I thought about all of the people and animals that have walked, and lived, along this river for hundreds of years.
And I started to think more about all of the smaller creatures that live along the river that we often do not see…insects of all kinds make their homes along the Sturgeon River…including my favourite insect the butterfly!
Below are some activities for you try at home. Enjoy spring and the warm sunshine it brings!
