Wintertime Fun at the Little White School

It is already the last week of the kids’ Christmas vacation, so if they are tired of hanging around the house, and you are looking for something to do, then drop in at the Little White School in St. Albert.

We have planned three days of wintertime drop-in activities and crafts and hope to see you there!

Dates: Wednesday January 2nd, Thursday January 3rd and Friday January 4th.

Time:  Drop in anytime between 11am – 4pm each day

Cost: $3.00 per participant

Location: Little White School, 2 Madonna Drive, St. Albert

On the 2nd, we’ll be talking about animals that hibernate in the wintertime, which ones stay awake all winter long, and which ones fly away for the winter, while we make cute hibernating bears.  On the 3rd, it’s classic board game time!  Bring your own if you prefer, but we’ve got lots of board games and card games to keep you entertained.  You can even make your own Snakes and Ladders board.

On the 4th, we’ll make stand-up snowmen.  The best part, though, is that you will learn to hand-weave a little scarf for your snowman, using a traditional Metis finger-weaving technique!

Happy New Year from all of us at the Musée Héritage Museum and Heritage Sites in St. Albert!
