From July 12th – 14th, 2019, we had Brett Lamoureux – a former Education Programmer at the Musée Héritage Museum — on site at St. Albert Grain Elevator Park sharing her knowledge of weaving with our visitors and staff.
Those who were interested had an opportunity to learn to weave on our floor and table looms.
Brett also had homemade cardboard looms on hand so visitors could create and take a small wall hanging home with them.
Thanks to Brett and Judy from the Edmonton Weaver’s Guild, our floor loom is set up and ready for to be used to weave rugs.
Feel free to drop by the St. Albert Grain Elevators, located at 4A Meadowview Drive in St. Albert, between now and September long weekend to give the floor loom a try.
