The St. Albert grain elevators tell a story about agriculture and change over time in the community. In small groups we work our through the elevators and discover how they worked, what grains were stored in them and how grains were measured. We will also work in the gardens, where there is always work to be done! Using their creativity, each student will create an item to take home to help remember their day at our site.

This program is designed to give students access to an historic site and historic objects as they experience a little piece of history up close on the site.
We’re a non-profit organization, and program fees help cover the cost of instruction, supplies and equipment.
- We charge a minimum class fee based on 14 students
- $4.50 per student
Apply for funding through the Beryl Madden Field Trip Fund.
We’ll send an invoice to your school within one month—please don’t bring your payment to the workshop.
