unknown1In the Iroquois tradition, the turtle is a symbol of creation and life. Rattles were made from snapping turtle shells and used in healing ceremonies. Students will make a Iroquois inspired rattle shaped like a turtle shell with a turtle shaped head and neck for handle. This project really rattles after firing!
