Archives Week: Entertaining Alberta, Sept. 28–Oct. 5, 2018 at the Musée Héritage Museum

Every year, the Archives Society of Alberta (ASA) celebrates Archives Week the first week of October, which includes events at archives across the province! This year’s theme is “Entertaining Alberta,” showcasing the various ways Albertans have engaged in entertainment.

Throughout the week of September 28 to October 5, we are celebrating at the Musée Héritage Museum by highlighting archival items related to Entertainment in St. Albert. You’ll see photos and other archival materials related to the many different ways St. Albertans and others have entertained themselves.

Drop by the museum to test your interpretive skills by taking our Archives Challenge and see how well you can date photos, read maps, and other archival records. While you’re here, take a look at a special display of photographs from our archives.

We will also be hosting a hashtag party #EntertainingStAlbert #ArchivesWeek2018 on Twitter! Be sure to check out @ArtsandHeritage throughout the week as we post new photos each day. Join our hashtag party by sharing your own photos and memories of events in St. Albert with the tags #EntertainingStAlbert #ArchivesWeek2018.

Let’s celebrate archives!
