The Archives Society of Alberta (ASA) celebrates Archives Week every year in the first week of October. Each year a theme is chosen and this year’s theme is “Coming to Alberta,” highlighting people and the stories of immigration to Alberta.
Throughout the week of October 1–8, 2016, the Musée Heritage Museum will celebrate Archives Week with a special display of archival materials about travel set up in the museum. Come see historical photographs, postcards, passports and many more!
On Saturday, October 8, we will have a special drop-in program at the museum for Archives Week. Come make and send a postcard that reflects St. Albert the best!
The Musée’s archivist, Vino, and assistant archivist, Jia Jia, will also be giving tours of the archival storage area for any of our visitors who might be interested in seeing this space.
The brand new 2017 ASA calendar is also available for purchase–just $5 buys this unique calendar and supports your local archive as well!
There is plenty to do at the Musée Héritage Museum for Archives Week 2016! We look forward to seeing you.
